Has anyone visited the Pont du Gard in the winter? How did you get there (bus, car, tour)? Was it worth it, or is it better saved for the summer?
I don't know why it would be any less interesting in winter than it is in the summer except for less crowds.
Was there this past February and loved it. Hardly anyone around which made it all the more enjoyable. Aside from the fact that you wouldn't want to swim in the river, there is every reason to want to go in the winter...
I haven't been to Pont du Gard in the winter but I think it would still be fabulous. A whole different mood than summer. I was there this past May.
Hi Kyla, Pont du Gard is a must see at any time of year. Don't miss it! And if you like 2000 year old bridges, visit the small Pont Julian just off the road to Apt. Charlie Robinson, Lodi, California
