When trying to purchase a point to point ticket from Paris to Lucerne, I did as this website suggested and picked a different country such as Slovenia, so I would not be directed to Rail Europe website. When it came time to put in my address for tickets to be mailed, it would not allow me to enter a correct address, city and state, nor allow me to go back to the USA as a delivery country. Any suggestions.

Which site were you using? At TGV-Europe.com as long as you s elec t either "Collection from an Automatic Ticket Machine" or "Retrieval in a French station" the site never even asks for your address. It should only ask for an address if you s elec t the "Delivery free by post", but they won't deliver to the USA. Use one of the other two options instead.
