Plug adapters for cell phone charger

I'll be traveling to Europe next year. Where can I buy plug adapters for my cell phone charger to use for the European outlets using 220 volts?

You can find them almost anywhere. Amazon.com, radio shack, hardware store. They are cheap. You just need the adapter, you dont need a converter. However if you are going to use small aplliances than you will need a small converter. The adapters are just a few dollars and converters are around 30 dollars. Hope this helps

If your phone charger says something like "110-240v" on it, all you need is the plug adapter. You can buy them here on the website, at Walmart, Target, luggage stores, hardware stores, electronics stores, lots of places. To clarify what the previous poster said, if you plan to take any small appliances that are NOT designed for world operation (only designed for 110v) you will need a converter as well. Most phone chargers, laptops, etc., today are designed for world operation.

Robert,

One of the best suppliers of Plug Adapters is www.magellans.com. You can also try Radio Shack stores, travel & luggage stores, etc.

Note that you may need different types of Plug Adapters depending on which country you'll be travelling in. For example, those used in the U.K. have large rectangular pins, while those used on the continent have two round pins.

One important point is that you should check your Cell Phone Charger to ensure this is designed for "world operation". Look on the Charger for the Input Voltage ratings. If these state "100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz", then you'll just need Plug Adapters and not a Voltage Converter.

I'd suggest buying at least two of each Plug Adapter, as it's always a good idea to have a "backup".

Happy travels!

We got an entire world set at Walmart for $19.99. We brought the set with us as the adapters are different in the UK then in the rest of the European continent. We didn't have any problems.

One funny side note - we stayed at the Uhland in Munich, Germany and the people checking in in front of us asked where they could get an adapter and the desk clerk pulled out a big box of adapters people had left behind. It was pretty funny.
