Pls suggest an Itinerary for Spain

Hello,

We are planning a trip to Spain this year in May. Can anyone please suggest a good 8-9 days itinerary based on the following.

  1. We want to spend atleast 2-3nights in Barcelona to see the main museum, the Football museum, the Dali museum (Approx 2hrs away from the city)

  2. We'd like to visit any one Beach town/resort for 2-3 nights where we can chill. Preferably towards the end of our journey. Can anyone suggest a good place to visit on the Spanish coastal line?

  3. Pls suggest 1-2 other towns that we can club with the above. I've heard great things about Seville and Granada. Also pls suggest thigs to do here.

  4. A little about us: We enjoy a fair bit of sight seeing (not too much, but we're happy covering the main tourist attractions of every city), we enjoy going out to party 1-2 nights during our travel, we love sitting at cafes/pubs and watching the world pass us by, i enjoy shopping (main european high street brands), we're vegetarians, we'd love to go wine tasting, take an hour long flamenco lesson or see a bull fight whilst we're in Spian.

  5. Budget: 2000 Euros for 2 people.

Pls suggest cities we could visit, things to do, suggest modes of transport between cities and anything else that we need to keep in mind whilst planning our holiday.

Appreciate your help...Many thanks!

This is what we did a in 2006, we rented a car, and drove to the Costa Brava, we stayed in a village called L'Escala. Pretty village, close by are beaches, Dali sights, National park, ruins of Empuries.
We spent 3 nights in L'Escala and did day trips and chilled. We enjoyed it very much and it was easy to drive everywhere. Then we drove to the Penedes valley and visited a few wineries, and Montserrat and dropped the car at the end of the day and took a cab to Barcelona. We spent 4 nights in Barcelona and enjoyed it very much. We saw most of the major sites and we went to a Barça game at Camp Nou.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Madrid enjoying the Prado, the lively night life, and as many tapas as we could sample. We rented a car and drove to the Costa Del Sol town of Nerja for a few nights. It was about a 5 hour drive that allowed us to take in the scenery of southern Spain. Nerja itself was a charming little resort town perfect for relaxing by the ocean. After this, we flew from Granada to Barcelona on a cheap regional flight. Was probably the greatest vacation I've ever been on.
