I'm planning on this area along with the route du vin.Would adding Paris for 3 days be too much?I have 11 days from Baden-Baden.Thanks!

What would your itinerary be? Can you arrange to fly home directly from Paris? (What is there to see in Metz?)

Personally, I think adding Paris for 3 days would be easy for you. One day each in Nancy & Metz, maybe 2 days in Strasbourg, and 3 days in Colmar is adequate time for each in my opinion.

I agree with the previous poster, I've never seen much in Metz. It's where I turn on or off the Autoroute to Luzembourg, very close and just a little north.

When will you be in the area? If you are in the area during Xmas market time, 2 days will not be enough for Strasbourg...there's much to see in that town and it's one of my favorite places. There's a good thread on it that I contributed to if you look back a few pages.
