Please Help Decide Best Spain Itinerary

i know what im about to ask is a personal choice for everyone but hopefully it will help me decide,if i get peoples opinions

so the question im asking everyone is if you had to choose out of the 2 trips below which would u choose and why?

4 days madrid , inc toledo
3 days seville/cordoba
3 days ronda/granada

4 days mardid,inc toledo
3 days san sebastian/bilbao
3 days seville/cordoba

im just trying to work out wether i should by pass basque for more time in andalucia

I have exactly 10 days to spend in spain (first time there)
before heading to morocco for 2 weeks, from morocco i then
fly to barcelona for 4 nights. also where should i spend my last night in spain for easy access to algeciras the next day ? i need to catch a morning ferry from algeciras to tangier , from tangier i will then catch a train to casablanca to meet my tour group.

Tough choice. I can't say that I'd choose either itinerary because except for Bilbao you are completely ignoring the beautiful north. The northern coast is a less-visited area but its mountainous areas are so different from any other part of Spain. I guess if I HAD to choose, I'd choose your first option because I think you would find more to do in Ronda/Granada than in San Sebastian/Bilbao.

I guess it also depends on when you will be travelling. I think 4 days in Madrid would be too much, and I would include an Avila-Salamanca tour as well. I would concentrate on the South and leave the northern coast for another trip. If you visit the north, you should try to visit Barcelona, Bilbao, Santander, Santiago de Compostela.

I like the first option as well...in Madrid, you can easily spend 4 days, subtracting one for Toledo and another for Segovia. Skip the north for next time....Andalucia is the traditional "heart" of Spain. As for the ferry, check http://www.ctsa-portillo.com/ima/pdf/algeciras.pdf for bus schedules to Algeciras from all along the south coast. But why Algeciras? You could stay in Tarifa overnight and catch the high-speed ferry from there...cheaper and a shorter run to Tangiers.
