I am travelling with a small group of college students. We are visiting Dachau in late May. Does anyone have a recommendation? thanks - doug

munich? it's a very short and easy trip from dachau to munich - less than hour factoring in connection times. and munich has the added bonus of having a lot of other things to see.

doug, I agree with Sarah. It would be preferable to stay in Munich, as it will provide a greater range of activities in the evenings than staying in a smaller location (such as the town of Dachau). It's very easy to get to and from Dachau, via the S-Bahn (S2) from Munich. Happy travels!

Stay in Munich. Much more to see and do. The Dachau camp can take several hours to see depending on your level of interest. We've stayed at the Monte Carlo a few times, and once at the Senefelder. Both close to the main staion, and good value.
