Will be spending 3 nights in Nice, 2 nights in Arles and 1 night in Montpellier (catching the direct train to barcelona from here first thing in the morning)
We arrive in Nice late at night so the first day I was thinking of exploring Nice, the second day to do Eze and Monocco.
When we leave Nice we will have a rental car. I was thinking about driving the coast through and stopping briefly to check out St. Rapheal and St. Tropz making our way to Cassis then to Aixes and finally to Arles Was thinking about checking out Toulon as well.
is this doable and are there any other places we should stop along the way?

I've planned almost all of my trip to those same destinations using the trusty Rick Steves guide for Provence and the South of France! I supplemented it with TripAdvisor, for other hotel options. You don't specify when this trip will be- if summer, that drive along the coast might be full of traffic jams, according to his book and other research I've done. It appears all these destinations are well served by public transportation- something to possibly consider, unless you want to explore the Luberon and other small villages? There will also be the issues around finding parking, etc.

We are going to be there mid june, so I am hoping it won't be as bad.
I think I have the areas around Arles all planned out but it was more the coastal area I have been wondering about.
