Any experiences (good or bad) with places to stay overnight in Zurich to catch a plane the next morning?

We generally stay in downtown Zürich, fairly close to the train station. It is only a 12 minute ride to the airport from the main station. We like to be able to walk around the Altstadt and have a nice dinner there our last night in Switzerland. But last July we stayed IN the airport at the new Radisson Blu. It is very modern and pretty slick. It was also surprisingly quiet-no flight noise inside the room. I got a good price by booking and paying in advance, but I don't know if they are offering that this year. We still went into Zürich on the train for dinner. The next morning was nice and leisurely, as we were already in the airport. We just walked to our gate and boarded the plane!

We stayed at the Ibis.Free shuttle to and from airport.Very convenient.

We were just in Zurich and stayed at the Renaissance which is now a Marriott property. Bid for it on Priceline and got it for $80. This was our second stay there and the tram stops in front to take you to the airport (5 min) or city centre (20 min). Definitely go into the old town for dinner. Hotel has very nice rooms, great king beds, pool, etc.-very quiet also.
