I would like a quaint and affordable place to stay in Brive la Guillarde near the train station. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Sorry, don't know any hotels in Brive la Gaillarde but have you tried TripAdvisor.com? TA is great for finding hotels and they list quite a few in Brive. I've been there many times to visit family, it's a charming town.

Hotel Le France is inexpensive and close to the station. Kind of old if that's what you call quaint.
