On morning of June 15 want to get a rental car to drive to Normandy by way of Loire and Chartes. I don't want to drive in Paris. Where should I pick up my rental car? We are staying at 48 Ave De Flandre in Paris. Bus/Metro directions from there to rental locale and to hotel from Orly airport. Also directions when we drop car off from that location to CDG Marriott on evening of June 18. Thanks.
Orly to your hotel: Take the airport shuttle bus to the Pont de Rungis RER station. Take the RER C to Gare d'Austerlitz. Transfer to metro line 5 and take it to Gare de l'Est. Transfer to metro line 7 and take it to Riquet. Walk to your hotel. For a zoomable map of the metro and RER system, go here: http://tinyurl.com/6xmvms4. Car rental: Retrace your steps to Orly from your hotel and pick up your car at the airport. You'll have easy access to major roads that will take you to Chartres. No need to return your car to Orly. Drop it off at CDG. According to the CDG Marriott website, you can arrange for complimentary shuttle service between the airport and the hotel. Tim, There's a 39 euro cost to pick up a rental at ORLY. I've found two other choices to pick up and will drop off at CDG. The choices for pick up are either: Gare Porte Maillot or Boulogne Sur Seint 78 AVe. Pierre Grenier. Bologne location is just 11 euro more but it looks like it will also give me less of a trek through the city. Which is easier to get to from my hotel? What location would you suggest? Thanks so much.
Can you pick up in Chartres?
