We (family of 5 - older teen and 20s) are driving up to Murren switzerland from perugia, Italy in a day. Does anyone have suggestions on the best places to stop for a strech and quick lunch or snack? Also any tips on the drive would be most welcome! Research says about 8 hours..... Thanks!

You'll be driving on the A1 autostrada - like our interstate highways - for most of your trip through Italy. Every 30 or 40 miles you'll pass rest areas with an "Autogrill". You'll be able to get snacks, lunch, drinks, etc, at any of these. They're all pretty much identical & the food is decent.
