2 QUESTIONS! IS IT NECESSARY TO GET TICKETS TO THE PERGAMON MUSEUM IN BERLIN IN ADVANCE? WE'LL BE THERE OVER THE 2ND WEEKEND IN SEPTEMBER. ALSO, WHERE DO YOU GET THE TICKET FOR THE HO/HO BUSES? CAN YOU GET ON AND BUY THE TICKET AT ANY OF THE STOPS? THANKS, JUDY
First, please turn off your Caps Lock. It is not only considered the online equivalent of SHOUTING, but is also hard to read. The HO/HO buses are sold on board, and there are multiple companies. They often have different durations, so be sure you get the one you want (in other words, don't pay for a 2 day ticket if you're only going to use the bus for one day, or one spin-around without getting off). Others will have to answer your Pergamon question.
Pergamon tickets have a timed entry and popular times on weekends may sell out. We are going the 3rd weekend in September and I have our tickets. Saved €1 each by buying in advance, and we won't have to wait inline to buy them there.
I was just at the Pergamon Museum last Monday. The tickets do come with a designated entrance time so this can be alittle tricky if you dont plan accordingly. The lines for tickets wasn't intolerable but prepurchased tickets does speed up the process to get in.
A side not is that the entrance to the Pergamon is under contraction so a side entrance is used and ticket sales are done out of a trailer for all museums on Museum Island
