Pentecost Holiday - Whit Monday

We will be travelling between Berlin and Munich with our trip ending either May 29 or 30th and am trying to determine whether to fly into Berlin and out of Munich or vice versa. I just discovered there is Pentecost Holiday (Whit Monday) on Monday, May 28th and am wondering which location would be better to be in during this holiday. During our time around Munich we will be in Strasburg and haven't figured out if this holiday affects that area as well. I'm not sure whether everything shuts down during this holiday or there are festivals and it would be a good experience. Any information would be appreciated. I'd like to book my tickets but will wait for some comments first.

I might choose to base myself around Munich @ that time. Then it would be an easy day-trip to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, where they have a big outdoor festival for the holiday. Very historic. You can read all about it online ... just google it. I don't know about any similar events in the Berlin area.

Thanks for informing me about Rothenburg. I looked it up and it could be a nice addition to the trip. Definitely an option. From there I discovered several other towns around the area have festivals so might be fun. I haven't found anything about Berlin yet but did discover at the beginning of our trip if we go into Berlin first, the museums are free on Sunday, the 20th which could be good and bad ... great to get in free ... bad for high numbers visiting. Starting to look like flying into Berlin and out of Munich.
