We are traveling to this area in July and need a budget price place for a family of 4 to stay Any suggestions? we have a car so we can stay out of town but want to visit the castles first thing in the morning

Hotel Helmerhof in the little village of Horn just below the castles is a great place. They have big multibedroom rooms, serve a hearty farm-fresh inclusive breakfast and one of the best restaurants around. Füssen is a small city, Horn is a village - lots of cows grazing and their bells clanging, lots of bike paths. The hotel is also very affordable. http://www.helmerhof.de/en/

What happened to Aggenstein in Pfronten? Wasn't their quad room available? The place I stayed in also has a family room, I'm just not so sure about the language question. There are probably also Ferienwohnungen available in Pfronten.
