Pension Chiemsee, Salzburg

Has anyone stayed in the Pension Chiemsee recently? We stayed there in 2011 but when we tried to go back in 2013 we couldn't get a response from Veronika on a reservation. We went to Salzburg as planned and stayed on the other side of the river, on Linzergasse, which I highly recommend, once the construction on the pedestrian road is completed. We went to the Chiemsee to see if it was still there, which it was, but we could see no activity and it was dark inside...is the Pension still in operation? Its in a really great location and we're planning another trip there. Thank you

When did you write? Depending on the time of year, pensions often take vacations and close down.

Last summer I wrote to a Gästehaus in Berchtesgaden, where I had previously stayed, and got no response for several weeks. I was just about to book elsewhere when she wrote and said they had been on a vacation. That was right after the flooding around Salzburg. I don't know if that had anything to do with their being away. I once went through Bacharach in mid-November and stopped by to check out Im Malerwinkel, but they were closed for the season.

Is the Pension low enough to have been affected by the flooding there this year? Maybe they had water damage and had to close for repairs.
