Pass to Versaille

I am trying to order the one day pass to Versaille. However, when I attempt to place a ticket order, the site does not list USA and will not let me type it it. It's a required field so I've been totally frustrated. Any suggestions?

Buy your ticket in Europe. It's not so much of a hassle there if you are cordial to the locals. Say "Bonjour" and then "Parlez-vous anglais."

Where can I buy a ticket in Paris or Versaille without standing in a long line?

Do you plan to be in Paris for a little while? And if so, do you plan on visiting museums/sights in Paris? How about getting a Paris Museum Pass instead. You can very easily buy your RER ride to Versailles when you go to board the train and the pass gives you access to Versailles without having to wait in line. You can buy this in Paris at any of the places in serves (choose a less crowded sight to get it) or you can buy it at the airport and tourist offices (the website gives you locations of where to buy).

If you want to stick with the one-day pass to Versailles (I'm not sure what this is, does it have a specific name?), then I think you could purchase it at any tourist office once in France/Paris.

Finally, Rick Steves' guidebooks on Paris and France have all your options planned out nicely, so may want to get a copy if you don't already have one for more info on the topic. Have fun!

We were there in April. We caught the train from Paris walked to the palace. There was a great military display that we saw on the way which was a bonus. Anyway, there was a huge line but we wanted a small group guided tour for which we walked straight up to the desk and got our tickets. Very reasonable price I though and we only had to wait about 15 minutes for the tour to leave. Another thing I learnt, travelling with 2 teenagers, when buying tickets for anything, I always asked if they offered a student discount. We had been advised that to be eligable you had to be a european resident, we are from Australia, but most places either gave us the discount or only charged me for one of the girls. we saved a lot.
