Hi,we're heading to France in May and will have a car for a day in Provence and would like to visit L'Isle sur la Sorgue for a Sunday market day. We've heard parking is difficult so does anyone have some ideas as to where to park and navigate that area? Thanks so much! Sue
We just followed the "P" signs to a very large parking lot. No problem at all.
We went to the Sunday market last October and yes, there are lots of cars and people but we found parking on the street. It was a little bit of a hike but not too far.
We were there on a Sunday market day in August - just cruised around on side streets and found one fairly quickly.
The earlier you arrive, the easier it is to find parking. There is public parking behind the post office. The post office is on Avenue des Quatre Otages, which is one of the main routes in town. Look for the yellow and blue "La Poste" sign and then turn at the next corner to drive around behind the post office. I have always been able to find parking either on the street or in the public lot.
It's a great market and a beautiful town!
(It's been a few years, but I would think the public parking lot is still there.)
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR INFORMATION! SUE
