Does anyone have a recommendation on a hotel or an apartment in Paris. We will be there the second week in July.
I've just used Vacation In Paris to book an apartment this weekend. While I won't see the apartment until September, the company is American based, easy to communicate with and you can pay using credit cards.
I used vrbo.com to rent my apartment in Paris. You may find it difficult to find something only a month away, but on the other hand you may get a discount for a last minute booking. I suggest you find something ASAP.
You don't say how many people are traveling. If there are only two of you, and if you want a hotel, you may want to try Priceline and you can name your own price. If you do this you should be familiar with the different areas of Paris. You can choose what area you want to be in and choose your "star" level. Then you name the price you are willing to pay. If they accept your bid you have to stay in the place that accepted it. No refunds. I have done this successfully in different places in the U.S. You may luck out and get a great place for a good price. This only works for two people, unless you want additional rooms.
Hi Drenna--Check out vacationinparis.com. We used them and were really happy with their service. They usually have last-minute deals, too.
Thanks so much! I fly stand by so I always wait to the last minute to find accommodations. It becomes an adventure and I have stayed in some great places over the years. Staying in an apartment is new and hopefully I will find something when it gets closer to the trip date.
I used homeaway.com to book my Paris apartment. I found it easier to navigate than VRBO, but you work directly with the owners. I found that on short notice, the owners were willing to negotiate the rate.
