I have made arrangements to stay at this apartment , Parishome2000 , in may based on the recommendation in Rick Steves 2013 Paris guidebook. Has anyone stayed there lately ? I can't find any reviews anywhere for it. Makes me a little uncomfortable. Also , "Slim"is requesting cash for payment. Is that standard ?

I stayed in Slim's place a few years ago. He's a great guy; the apartment was clean, handy, and had a nice view of the street. I paid cash when I got there. I don't think that is an unusual arrangement. Slim was available when a lightbulb burned out; he came and replaced it within an hour.
