5 women friends and myself are traveling to Paris at the end of March. We are staying in the Marais. We would like to cover art, FOOD, music and wine. Any advice on tours, restaurants, etc. Already in the process of booking a private Context tour.
How fun!! Great neighborhood. Might want to look over these blogs. Loads of interesting information about food, music, wine, etc. I'd also see what Timeout Paris says. http://www.theparisblog.com/, http://hipparis.com/, http://www.davidlebovitz.com/, http://www.coolstuffinparis.com/, http://keeneasmustard.blogspot.com/, http://www.secretsofparis.com/,

Pariswalks.com has a lot of walking tours. The chocolate tour was worth it. I enjoyed looking around the Rue Montorgueil. Lots of food. For more ideas, check out mxsmanic on youtube. He has lots of videos with walks around Paris. I'm addicted.
Try to attend a musical concert at St. Chapelle (near Notre Dame). Music in that venue is incredible -- the stained glass is amazing and the music seems to soar to heaven.
Thanks - love the videos Karen!
Hi-A great time you will have!! Last September, 3 girlfriends and I stayed in Paris about 10 days, left, and travelled around. While in Paris-we had all been before-I enlisted the assistance of Lisa Burros Hutchins, of Yourparisexperience.com. She planned itineraries for us, booked restaurants, led us directly from our apartment-we rented throught Parisperfect.com, and we had a ball. The itin could be followed at any given time. She had us in some great places that we never would have found on our own. Check out her website.
We are returning in May, and I am using her again, for the more off the beaten path haunts that we may not be aware of. I love seeing Paris in any light, but Lisa really made it fun. You could e-mail her, and get her opinion. But every Euro we paid her was worth it. I booked her concierge level service, which included a full day with her, but this time I am utilizing her for itinerary only, and restaurant reservations. Anyway, just a thought. She will make sure you do not miss a thing. She also suggested Annecy to me for a 4 day getaway, and she was right on! Good Luck
Michelle, I'd recommend the market class offered by Cook'n With Class. It is expensive, but it is a lot of fun and you get a great meal. Also, I've enjoyed all of the walks that I've taken with Paris Walks (paris-walks.com). They are a good deal ... just show up and pay 12 EUR. No advance booking.
Fat Tire Bike tour, the evening one is especially fun, and yes, I am middleaged and hadn't been on a bike for DECADES before I took my first one. Also have heard some amazing things about Hidden Kitchen.. google it.
