Paris Wedding Dinner: Private Dining Recommendations

I posted a similar thread a while back, but didn't receive a response so I'm posting again, with a bit more definition:

My fiance and I are getting married in November (the day after Armistice Day) in a small ceremony at the American Church in Paris (7th arr). We will be traveling with an entourage of 10-12 people. In lieu of a formal "reception", we intend to follow the ceremony with a dinner in a nice restaurant that can accommodate a party of our size. I'm hoping I can get recommendations for a good restaurant (my in-laws are great cooks and LOVE food so the quality of food is important) that offers a private dining room for small parties. I'd prefer something close to the the church or near the apartment we are renting (St. Germain des Pres), so the 6th or 7th Arrondisement would be best.

I appreciate everyone's responses as I'm trying to arrange everything myself. Thanks!

I generally won't recommend restaurants as I'm not a gourmet, but I love Thoumieux which is located at 79 rue St Dominique which I think, is close to your church. I think they have accomodations upstairs for larger parties although I don't know if it's a private room. The Brasserie is very French & the servers are friendly. I've eaten there over the past 20 years & always enjoyed my meal.

I was in the avenue Rapp, in the 7th, yesterday and noticed that Le Clos des Gourmets has a private room that seats 12 persons. It is a beautiful restaurant with a good reputation. Their menu is around 35 euros per person in the evening, I think. Here are the coordinates: 16 av Rapp 75007 PARIS, telephone

Thanks! I'll check those suggestions out.

I received a private recommendation yesterday for Le Petit Zinc. Has anyone else eaten there and, if so, what did you think?

I was taken there in August '08 for my birthday. It is a beautiful restaurant (art nouveau decor), and that is why we chose it. I don't remember the details of what we ate, but I remember that we felt that it was overpriced and that the food was so-so. It seems to cater to tourists. Le Petit Benoit, very nearby, would be a better choice in that neighborhood. I don't know if they have a private dining room. If you are willing to go further afield from the American Church, Maceo is excellent near the Palais Royal. They have a private dining room upstairs.
