Is the weather in Paris that much different from say 10/18 - 10/26 and 10/29 - 11/5? Are the outdoor cafes still open at either time period? Thank you. Nancy
The outdoor cafes are of course still open. Some are even partially covered by awnings. If it is raining of course the portion of any outdoor cafe that is not covered over is closed so to speak, but many cafes are open at the front.
Hi Nancy, ... The web site copied below is about "Ten (or more) insanely delicious things you should not miss in Paris" ... Have a great trip... P.

Pat and Perry - Thank you for the responses. I very much appreciate the information.
Most of the cafés with the on-the-sidewalk option usually have giant pedestal heat lamps during the cooler months.
....and nothing to do with the weather, but Nov 1st is a holiday, Le Toussaint, All Saints' Day...Lovely time to visit the cemetaries covered with chrysanthemums, just in case you choose the 10/29-11/5 dates.
Last night we went into the city for supper, a rare treat because my husband works in Paris and he prefers to stay home during the weekend. We ate outdoors, on the terrasse...the sidewalk...and the awning/overhang of the restaurant was installed with heat lamps...so i can verify that it's possible to find warmth in/on a sidewalk café.
