Paris walking tour

Hi, we will be in Paris for 3 days in July. We will not do the museum anymore( did that before). I was wondering if there is any paris walk that anyone can recommend which does not need prior reservation? Thanks

We took a walking tour last summer with Paris walks, but the one we used has the web address www.paris-walks.com. We took a "family tour" of the Latin Quarter, and were the only ones on the tour. You just meet your guide at an appointed metro stop and pay there. I thought our guide was very good; he seemed very knowledgeable. I think the tour lasted two hours, and they have lots of choices.

Paris Walks is good. You can see their schedule for the days you are in Paris on their website.

I think the only walk you need to book in advance is the chocolate tour (super-wonderful), which has limited capacity and is very popular. I highly recommend it.

I took one other walk, which was very interesting. The guide was a bit disorganized, but she was very nice and knowledgeable, and the route was excellent. I went back subsequently to some of the places we passed, that she recommending visiting, and I was not disappointed.

I also recommend Paris Walks. I did two the last time I was in Paris, Marais Circuit 1 and the Saint Germain tour. Both were guided by the owner and he was fantastic. I got a lot more out of it then I would just walking around on my own, and when I return in September I plan on taking another couple walks. Just show up at the appointed metro station (you can find the walk types, dates and meeting points on their website)
