What is a must see in Nothern Germany? We have 4 days. And maybe to Bolzano Italy from there. Oh i forget to mention we are coming from Paris. Train or plane?
Uh, Berlin? Hamburg? Lübeck? Quedlinburg? Just to name a few, though there are many more, depending on your interests. The best thing to do is pull out a map and look at the cities located in Northern Germany and see which ones offer sights that interest you. Spend some time researching those cities and towns online and try a search here on the Helpline.
Hi, It all goes back to which particular city/town you want to see up north. Coming from Paris by day, I'd take ICE Paris-Frankfurt, then decide whether to want to head east...Berlin, or north Hamburg, or southeast towards Leipzig. You can still make up your mind in Frankfurt. But if (undecided) you want to save a day's traveling, take the CNL (night) Paris-Hannover, change in Hannover for further north Hamburg, Kiel, Lübeck, or along the Baltic. Or, change in Hannover for Berlin. If it's absolutely Berlin (a must see in all of Germany) you want, take the Paris-Berlin CNL train, arriving ca 0700 or so. You'll have a whole day ahead of you there.
Paris to Cologne, then do 1 night in Cologne, 1 night in Münster, 1 night in Lüneburg and at least 1 (better 2) night(s) in Hamburg...
