I would like to spend one night and two days in Mannheim (relative), and would like to know how much the train would cost from Paris to Mannheim. There are four of us. If it's going to be too costly, we will have to rethink this plan.

Depending on how early you book it can be from €29 one way. Check with bahn.de and sncf.com

It's 3:07hrs from Paris Gare de l'Est to Mannheim's downtown central train station.
