Hello! I am planning a trip with my girlfriend in September. We are planning on spending 5 days in Paris, then making our way to Linz, Austria. We will be in Linz for about 12 days, with day trips planned to Salzburg and Vienna. We were hoping to spend a day or two somewhere along the way to Austria, and we were planning on taking trains. Does anyone have any recommendations of somewhere to stop that would be convenient or well worth the cost/effort of getting there? Is Luxembourgh worth a visit? I appreciate any thoughts ideas!

Hi, Seeing a place between Paris and Linz....the easiest would be Munich. Take the night train Paris-Munich direct, stay and visit Munich, then Munich to Linz on the Railjet train. Or, by day Paris-Frankfurt, direct, stay and visit Frankfurt, then Frankfurt-Linz on the ICE.
