Paris to Brittany to Holland back to Paris

My 16 year old is studying in Brittany and will finish in June. We are going to pick her up and then travel for 2 weeks. My other daughter has a friend in the north of Holland.

What are things that we can do along the way?

We all ready have plans to go to Normandy, Versailles, and Giverny. We are planning on renting a car and staying at B&B's as we need 2 rooms. We enjoy visiting with the locals.

In Brittany, I love the megaliths! There are some fine ones near Carnac. I've had fun in St. Malo - it can be touristy, but it's on the beach and is an old walled city. And Rouen is a lovely place to stop and be a tourist, as well.

And Brittany is also the place for a "seafood tower" - plateau des fruits de mer. YUMMY! If you like seafood at all, do not miss this treat. Ask around for a local place, where you will get the best deal.

And of course Bayeux - home of the world famous tapestry - is just northwest of Caen. I saw it about 25 years ago and it's one of my best travel memories.

If you're driving right by Dunkirk, that's an obvious place to stop - and you will probably be so close to Brussels as you drive to Holland that it would a shame not to stop! Brussels' medieval main square is nothing short of amazing. It's just gorgeous.
