Paris to Beaune RT: Which train station?

I went online to book the RT tickets, but got confused about which TGV train station in Paris to leave from/return to. I believe it is Gare du Lyon. However, there were several choices: just Gare du Lyon, Gare du Lyon A, B, etc. Can somebody please advise on which one to choose? I know that the TGV goes to Dijon, and then we take another, non-TGV train from Dijon to Beaune. It looks like we can book the RT ticket on the scnf website though. Another question: ONce we book the RT tickets, do we actually need to reserve a seat separately, or is all taht taken care of thru the website when we book? And we want to pick up the tickets in Paris, not have them mailed to us.

Thanks for any information!

We went from Paris to Beaune in June 2007. We bought tickets in person from a ticket window the day before the trip from the train station. We were using railpasses, so we were basically just purchasing the reservations. I am not too sure how the internet purchase would work for what you are trying to do. Gare du Lyon sounds correct for the train station. Best of luck.

Veronica, when you book a ticket on the website, your reservation (for the Paris-Dijon leg....none needed or available for the Dijon-Beaune leg)comes with it. When you clarify your departure point on the SNCF site, just click on Paris (75)....the station you need will come up automatically. It'll show Gare de Lyon as your departure station (don't worry about "Lyon A.") During the booking process, leave France as your ticket pickup location. Depending on the fare, you can either print the ticket off at home (PREMs fares, for example), or choose to pick them up at the station...bring the e-mail confirmation and the credit card used to purchase them. Do NOT choose ticket insurance, or you will be kicked over to the RailEurope site when you try to enter your address information.
