Anyone know of any good thrift stores in Paris to get some cheap clothes?
Tati makes Primark look like a top of the line boutique -- based on observations from walking by windows only.
If you're asking about the charity shop places like those that abound in the UK, I've never noticed any.
There are junk clothes stores scattered around as well as a slew at the St Ouen flea market.
Hey Steve, is that store like a UK Primark? I'm looking more for like a second-hand, salvation army type place.
Any clothing shop with the word "Friperies" on the window or door is selling second hand goods. If you google "friperies Paris" you may come up with something.
Dan,
If it's cheap you want, then try SYMPA at the corner of blvd. de Rochechouart and rue de Steinkerque at the foot of Montmartre just across the street from the Anvers metro stop. You'll have to really dig and work for it, but my daughter has found some diamonds in the rough. Too scary for me, though.
