(high about 64 degrees) Rode Metro to the Bastille and took the side trip to visit Morrison’s apartment, then began the Marais Walk, my daughter and I visited Victor Hugo’s home (not really worth the time, mainly paintings/pictures on walls of empty rooms) while the boys waited at the park, we visited the Carnavalet (very nice) and had to check all bags here. Ate lunch by ordering at the emporter window at L’As. Everyone enjoyed their Falafel’s and we had dessert at the bakery across the street. My youngest spiked a fever at this point so I took him home for a long nap while everyone else finished the Marais Walk with the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou (I’d done all this on my own my last/only trip here). Apparently they got in trouble for taking photos (no flash) at the Picasso Mus., and they went to the top of the Pompidou for the view then the tour. My oldest son bought a present for another friend back home along the streets at the Pompidou. A Chinese artist paints each letter of your name in brightly colored inks and each letter looks like an animal. He said it took about 5 min., 5 euros, it’s beautifully done. My youngest was fine when he woke up (short lived thank goodness). We walked down rue Cler again and then ate dinner at La Terrasse du 7eme at the outside tables facing the Ecole Militaire, it was good. END DAY
