I am looking for the best airport (fares as well as convenience) to fly into for my Central Europe vacation this summer. My points of interest are Paris (2-3 days); Salzburg one week (6/26/10 - 7/3/10); Remagen, Germany (via car travel along the Rhine River). At this time, I only have reservations for the one week in Salzburg, Austria. I am flexible in my dates, before or after Salzburg, and I am flexible on the actual number of days I will stay. What airport would be best to fly into, for the best airfare, and along my desired route? Also, if you have a recommendation for a good car rental company - 3 adult travelers - I would appreciate it.
