Paris & Rome in May

Hello,
I am going on my honeymoon in May, 12-22nd in Paris and 22nd-30th in Rome. I am trying to decide what types of clothes to pack for this time of year, and the statistics from past years has not been helpful in my planning. I've read that Paris fluctuates between 10-30 degrees C, and Rome averages around 24C. Any suggestions on packing? Do I need more skirts & capris, or will pants be good. Sorry for the trivial question!

Yup! Temperatures fluctuate! Rome will likely be warmer, but I've been absolutely chilled and wet in Paris in May (thunderstorm season, too) and very warm. That's the problem with averages.

Being a guy, my solution is still the same: jeans and shorts.
