We are thinking of spending one night near CDG airport rather than in Paris itself. Any suggestions on where to stay? We will not have a car.

Here's where we stayed and thoroughly enjoyed it. They run a shuttle from the airport directly to the hotel. The shuttle also transports you back to the airport at whatever terminal you choose. we stay inside the airport. There are many Hotel options inside the airport such as Ibis, Novotel, Hilton. We stayed at the Ibis I think it's in Terminal 3. and It was great! and Cheap!

Another vote for the IBIS across the road from Terminal 3 - usually has decent prices, you can walk to the shuttle if you need to get to a different terminal and has a couple of restaurants and a bar. Smallish rooms, but quite modern and clean.

I've stayed at the Novotel Wellness in Roissy as well as the Mercure (Just down the street), the Millenium and the Marriott. There is free shuttle service to each of these hotels and they all have restaurants. If staying in Roissey I prefer to walk to the Marriott for a nice light dinner and glass of wine in their lobby bar. Just check booking.com

We stayed at the Hilton and took their shuttle to the terminal.We also took the RER into Paris for dinner.

Ibis is part of the Accor chain, which has a number of brands. www.accorhotel.com can show many choices near CdG. The closest are in Roissy, the old village beside the airport. They are served by a shuttle van to Terminal 2.
