paris pass question

hi all, We were thinking of buying the paris pass, however, once we added up all of the things we'd like to do, the cost was around the same price as the pass. My question is, is there any other benefits to having the pass, other than admission and metro? (eg. shorter lines at various places)

We loved our Paris pass last year. We skipped to the front of the line and went to some smaler museums that we might have skipped without the pass. It also allows you to back to the Louvre, it is easier to ake in smaller doses.

Natalie There are 2 passes and not sure which one you are talking about. The Paris Pass includes the metro and the museums with other items, maybe Seine River tour?
The other is the Museum Pass. The Museum Pass I recommend because as PP mentioned you can JUMP the line, return to a museum, or pop into smaller museums and stay a very short time. When I have priced them out in the past, the Museum Pass is always the better value. For transportation, you can purchase a Carnet (10 tickets) for Metro and buses and use them for anyone in your party. Just buy additional when you need them. Much more flexible. Hope this clarifies the choices. Bobbie

Hi Natalie - One more benefit to the Museum Pass - is bathroom access! That alone is worth it - at least it was for me. Leaving for Paris in 5 weeks - and will definitely get a Museum Pass this time as well.
Enjoy your trip.

We have purchased the Paris Museum Pass. Is it recommended to or can you even make reservations to go into the Louvre? It appears from the last post that the Paris Museum Pass does not give you any benefits on the metro, correct?

Hi Natalie, we just got back from Paris and did the museum pass which I recommend. It also included Versailles if you are heading there. Most places allow you to skip to the front of the line, but there were a few that didn't line the tower at Notre Dame. I would buy it again. Have a great trip.

Natalie The Paris Museum Pass does not include any metro/bus privileges. Bobbie
