Hello- My husband and I will be in Paris for four days and hope to see some of the major museums/attractions and want to get the biggest bang for our buck while not standing in long lines. Is the Paris pass worth it? Thank you.
This question was just asked by Jarmine on the "General Europe" Helpline. check 9/20/2013 for the last posting. Answer is the same. Museum Pass: Yes, Paris Pass: No. You'll be paying 20 to 30 euro more for the same stuff you get by buying the Museum Pass and your transport tickets and other sights separately.
Museum Pass and buy a carnet (set of ten) or two of metro/bus tickets.
I'd buy one carnet at a time. That way, if you only need a couple of more rides, you can just buy individual tickets and not have a wad of left-overs. Paris is pretty compact and you might do a lot less riding than you'd think. One the other hand, they don't die of old age. I'm sure some of mine are from at least Roman times and simply weren't used in the order they were bought.
