We are headed to France/Belgium for several weeks next year and we plan to lease a car. We would like to visit Paris for 4 nights, but would prefer to not take the car in to the city. We were planning on visiting Versailles on our way toward Paris from Normandy. Would it be feasible to leave the car in this area during our stay in Paris?(we'll take the train to the city) Any other cities that would be an alternative with an easy train ride in to Paris, but a safe bet for leaving the car? Perhaps you could consider staying at one of the many hotels at La Defense, where there are many parking garages. You could take the metro or bus to central Paris very easily and at no great cost.
