Paris Orly to Rue Cler area

We arrive in Paris Orly at 11:05, Terminal W on Saturday 21 April 2012 and will be staying at Hotel Muguet on Rue Chervert in the Rue Cler area. Any suggestions as to how to get there from the airport would be appreciated. We will have two, smaller pieces of luggage. Thanks.

Joan - You'll take the RERC to Invalides direction Pontoise. At Invalides take Metro line 8 to Ecolle Militaire direction Ballard. From there it is a short walk to your hotel. You can use Google Earth or Google maps to have a look around the hotel neighborhood.

Joan, With two small pieces of luggage, travel via RER and Metro is the easiest solution. You may find it helpful to have a look at This Website, which has LOTS of great information. In the same situation, I'd use the RER "B" method suggested on the website, and transfer to Metro at Gare du Nord. From there transfer to Metro Line 4 (direction Porte d'Orleans) and disembark at Strasbourg Saint-Denis. Transfer to Metro Line 8 (direction Balard) and disembark at Ecole Militaire (which I believe is the ninth stop). From there it's an easy walk to Hotel Muguet. It sounds more complicated than it actually is. I believe your RER ticket from the airport can be used for the Metro, as long as you don't exit the system. Happy travels!

Fastest route: Orlyval driverless shuttle train from the airport to the Antony RER station. RER B from Antony to Denfert-Rochereau. Metro line 6 to La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle. Metro line 8 to Ecole Militaire. The combined fare for the Orlyval plus the RER & metro is €10.90. (Ken's route costs the same, but it would take you well out of your way.) Slower but cheaper route: Airport shuttle bus to the Pont de Rungis RER C station. RER C to Invalides. Metro line 8 to Ecole Militaire. The fare for the shuttle bus is 2.50. The fare for the RER & metro is €4.00.

The easiest and most stress free way to arrive (imho) is taxi. Yes, there are trains and RERs galore. But to not have to drag luggage and up and down stairs and on and off trains and down the road to the hotel (especially if you don't know exactly where you're going) is a great way to begin.
