We've read that the last 2 weeks of April (2012) could be difficult due to Spring Break of the French children. Does anyone have experience with this?

2/3 of the school kids in France will be on Spring Break during the last two weeks in April, including all the kids in Ile-de France (the Paris region). This is a very popular travel time, and if you attempt to drive in to Paris at the end of the vacation period, you are in for a traffic nightmare. If you were expecting that period of time to be part of low season, with no crowds anywhere, then you might be in for a surprise.
