Where do you catch the night bus to tour the city to see all the lights. Info would be appreciated. We are staying in the Latin Quarter
Do you mean this tour? If so, their pick up point is at 33 Quai des Grands Augustins which is on the Rive Gauche (Left Bank) of the Seine just northwest of the Saint-Michel metro station.
However, for the cost of one metro/bus ticket (€1.60), bus #69 will take you close to most of the same sights (not Pigalle/Moulin Rouge). Here's the route map. From the Latin Quarter you would need to get to the Rive Droite (Right Bank). The closest stops from the Latin Quarter would be at Hotel de Ville and a bit to the east from there.
Tim: Does the Bus No. 69 run at night? I think it may not.
Norma,
The last east-bound #69 bus leaves Champ de Mars at 22:35. The last west-bound #69 bus leaves Gambetta at 22:30.
And if someone wants to see Montmartre (including Pigalle) after dark, the Montmartrobus runs until after midnight. The fare is one metro/bus ticket. For a route map and timetables go to www.ratp.fr. Click on the British flag icon in the upper right-hand corner. Then click on the Montmartrobus photo on the left-hand side of the new page. You'll get a Tourist Excursions page. Click on "Montmartrobus."
