Hello, we would like to get a 4 day Paris museum pass, especially to have the freedom to bypass the lines. We have 2 kids, ages 10 and 12. I know that a lot of museums and monuments are free to children, but I can not seem to find which museums aren't free. Does anyone know?? Is there any type of museum pass for kids to cover all the sites that are included in the Adult pass?? If anyone knows, or can guide me in the right direction, I would appreciate the assistance.
Thanks!
Here's the page from the official website of the Paris Museum Pass, which lists all covered museums. Click on each one, and it will tell you the regular prices and under what age children are free: http://en.parismuseumpass.com/rub-museums-monuments-by-name-5.htm. For instance, the Musee de l'Institut du Monde arabe is free for under 12's, while the Arc de Triomphe is free for under 18's.
Tania, don't get a pass for kids, totally unneeded..most are free, Louvre, Orsay, Cluny, Invalids Army ( a good one btw my 11 and 13 enjoyed very much) , and many sites are free , Arc De Triomphe, and Towers of Notre Dame. The children simply accomapany you , and do not need to wait, except at a very few places they need to get a free ticket, but the only place I ever encountered this was at Invalids and there was no line anyways really and this was in the busy summer season .
The MP does allow you and them to skip lines but not at the Towers of Notre Dame so go there BEFORE it opens and get in line.. its worth it but the line is horrendous as they only let 20 people go up at once.
Thank you Pat, I was hoping you would see the post. I looked through the Paris museum pass website, but no luck on any info regarding the girls. You have definatley saved me a ton of time trying to flesh out that info. Very much appreciated!! By the way, I had both of them read the Princess Diaries, and they loved them!! Especially my oldest. Thanks for that tip back a couple months ago!! @ Harold, thank you for the info on the individual museums that I can check through that site. I never thought to go one by one. Great advice. Thanks again, have a great day!
