I am flying into London, then taking the Eurostar to Paris and catching a train to Rouen. I am driving through Normandy and the Loire and then to Versailles and Paris. In case I don't have enough time to purchase a Museum Pass when I arrive on the Eurostar, is it possible to purchase one in London? In Rouen? In Versailles?
In fact, you may be able to purchase it on the Eurostar itself. They sell transport tickets (I bought my husband's oyster card on our trip a couple of weeks ago) and other tourist items for the convenience of their passengers, and the museum pass seems to me it would be exactly the type of thing they would have available.
I doubt that you can buy a Paris Museum Pass in either London or Rouen. You definitely can buy one at Versailles.
You may be able to purchase the pass in the station itself as well. However, research the price charged by the usual outlets in Paris so you will know if the Eurostar price is competitive.
Thank you for all of your tips and suggestions. I will try to purchase one at the EuroStar staion.
It's certainly possible to buy one at the Louvre...or anywhere else you're going. That's where we always buy ours...and never a wait. Theoretically, some locations may be out of them from time to time, but there's no way of knowing those places in advance.
