Would it be worthwhile to purchase a Paris Museum Pass for a fourteen year old to avoid additional hassles and lines for youth free or discounted tickets at Paris sights that are covered by the Paris Museum Pass? It appears that my teenager can get in free or at a discount to many covered venues, but is not one of the great advantages of the Paris Museum Pass its line bypassing and time saving features? Thanks for thoughts on this.
If your teen is following you in the pass holder line, he does not need a pass as well, he just enters for free with you.
You shouldn't have to queue for a separate ticket. If you are holding a Museum Pass for yourself just do as you would normally do (taking your 14 year old with you obviously!) and just make sure that she/he has proof of age (student ID/passport). I have never had to queue and never been stopped to check student ID either. It is meant to simplify things rather than make it all more time consuming. I imagine that those queueing for youth free tickets are those students who are unaccompanied, but I don't know.
