I'll be doing the one-day trip to Paris from London on the Eurostar in mid-May. I'm wondering if I should buy the Museum Pass. I don't expect I'll get my money's worth out of it, but I'm okay with that if it saves a substantial amount of time waiting in lines. Other than the Eiffel Tower which I realize is not included, I'm hoping to hit the Arc d'Triomphe, Louvre, and Notre Dame tower.
I'd think real hard. It covers the other three places you list, but there's not really much sense in going to the top of the Arc if you're going to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Additionally the pass only gets you past the line to buy tickets, so essentially you just join the new line behind the guy who just finished buying his ticket.
If I had only one day in Paris, I'd skip the cathedral tower for most anything else if you're doing it only for the view, maybe not if you are more interested in seeing what's up there.
Dave there is not one day MP,, you would have to buy the two day pass, so definately a money waster.
Of the places you mention, the pass is not that useful for lines anyways.
The Pass does cover your admission to the Notre Dame Towers, but does not allow line skipping there.
Does no good at ET at all,, BUT , you can prepurchase a ticket online now for ET,, apparently its a timed admission, you will have to check website. I personally would just take the stairs, the line up is always shorter.
There is rarely any line of consequence at the Arc.
And anyone can easily the lines at Louvre. I have for years. Just enter from the underground shopping mall . Entrance off Rue Du Rivoli, you will see an awning that will say Caroseul. Enter , go down stairs , buy ticket from machine. Walk in. Easy peasy.
One place the MP is great is for the lines at Orsay,, but the trick there is to visit the Rodin Museum nearby first, and buy a ticket there that is good for both the Orsay and Rodin. There are rarely any lines at the Rodin.
