Anyone know a good website that I can print off market locations, days and hours? I just want a list I can take with me. Thanks.
The following website provides a list of Parisian markets:
For a section-by-section look, here's another list at http://www.v1.paris.fr/EN/Living/markets/markets.asp

Which type of market? Food (veggie, fruit, meat), clothes, birds? Are you willing to travel outside of the city (still on Metro)?
Sue.. The best list I have ever seen is in the book Paris in a Basket. The book tells you not only the names of the markets, but the times , days , and the metro to take to get there. If you do not have time to look at the book, send me a private email and tell me what days you will be there and I will email you the info. We are photographers and have used this book alot and it is great. We have some favorites and I can let you know.We always eat lunch at the markets and this is a lot of fun. Great gifts, too.
"Paris in a Basket" is a wonderful book ! Too big to take with you but a great reference book and so beautiful.

Hi Sue ... the above link has a variety of information. If you need something more, just ask Tom. You may send him e-mail just by clicking on CONTACT ME which is posted on almost every page.
... bon appétit! P
Thanks for all the help. We will be in Paris for two weeks, and I searched and found an apartment near the Bastille with a full kitchen. I want to cook. So going to markets is a great activity for me and my husband loves it. I will look for the Paris in a Bread Basket book, but found a good list from a post here.
Anyone know where I can get a Bresse chicken in Paris? Dying to cook one--I have read so much about them.
... Sue, we suggest you send Tom email and ask him about the chicken ... see my post of 06/17/08, above. bon appétit... P
YOu can buy a Bresse chicken at L'epicerie de Paris at the Bon Marche DEot. Store in the 6th arr. as well as at any good butcher. The aforementioned shop
will blow your mind...it is worth just walking around even if you don't buy anything, but I bet you will.
