Paris, Lourdes, and Barcelona or vice versa?

My sisters and I are trying to plan a trip to Paris, Lourdes and Barcelona (because we are of Spanish descent and wanted to see a city not far from France - short, busy trip). I just wanted to know which order would be feasible (maybe you cannot cross from Lourdes to Spain, but could cross from Barcelona to Lourdes? IDK).
Also, wanted to know how safe Barcelona is in comparison with other Spanish cities close to France. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Travel between Paris and Lourdes is very easy. You have the choice of flying into Tarbes-Lourdes airport, which is about a 15 minute drive north of the town, or going by TGV, which is about 6 hrs from Paris, via Bordeaux, Dax and Pau. Aside from driving, I don't know of any direct link between there and Barcelona. Roger

You can certainly cross from Lourdes to Spain or vice versa. There are no border restrictions. You didn't say how you're planning to travel. By train you're looking at an 8-9 hour trip (between Lourdes & Barcelona) with 2 or 3 transfers along the way. Driving distance is 450 kilometers. It's a nice drive through the Pyrenees - we've done it. You can get train info at bahn.com I would start in Paris and end in Barcelona, and fly an open-jaw ticket to avoid having to backtrack.
