Any recommendations for affordable Paris lodging (~ 100 euros)? Thanks.
Lyn, You might have a look at This Hotel in the Rue Cler area. It would seem to fit your price criteria. However, note that prices may vary at certain times of the year, so you may have to be a bit "flexible" with your budget. There are some nice Hotels in that area, but their rates are above the price you mentioned. Happy travels!
Thanks - found Hotel de l'Avre in 15a, but have bookmarked your recommendation as well for future reference. Cheers!
Lyn, we stayed at Hotel de l'Avre for 6 wks in 2001 and loved it. For a budget hotel, it's excellent.
Lyn, the owner of Hotel de l'Avre (Bernard) is really nice and friendly, and the hotel staff are wonderful. We've known friends who have stayed there more recently and liked it very much. We stop in when we're in Paris and say hello to Bernard. It's walk-able to the Eiffel Tower, is 1/2 block from a really good metro stop where 3 major lines intersect which makes it the easiest one to get to many places faster, there is a Monoprix right there which we love to shop at and has a great grocery store. There's also a twice weekly marche (outdoor market) right there that's really good and really fun. A few cafes, other shops, and a bakery or two. Hope you have a great time in Paris - my favorite place on the planet. On a side note... be sure to spend some time in the Luxembourg Gardens. It's wonderful.
Sweet - thanks again!
You ROCK! Thanks!
