Has anyone taken a "short course" at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris? We'll be there next week and are considering taking one but thought I'd seek feedback on if it's worthwhile first. Thanks!
Sue and Kerry, thanks! I just signed our kids up for Le Petit Cordon Bleu, and I think my husband and I will take a demo course during that time. I wish they had a market course while we are there, but none are scheduled.
thanks again!!
I have taken two. The first one was a cooking class: Sauces the Finishing Touch. The other was a market tour ending with an afternoon demonstration.
Both were from 8:30 Am to 4:00 PM.
Although the price may seem a little steep, it is well worth it. They provide breakfast when you arrive (Croissants, coffee, juice, etc.) and an absolutely lovely lunch with wine (we had shrimp salad, tomato basil salad, slices of charcouterie, potato salad, etc.) They were some of the loveliest meals I had in Paris. After the market tour, the chef added things he had purchased in the market, such as sausages and cheese. In the cooking class, we got to box up everything we made and take it home with us, which provides dinner, also.
The demo classes are shorter--half day and only provide samples of the food that is prepared, but the courses are shorter and less expensive.
I highly recommend Crodon Bleu.
