Paris July 4

Tom that's nice that you are "all set to help with Bastille Day"( actually they prefer to call it "La Fete Nationale" now) but I wouldn't expect them to have anything set up for July 4th, just like in Hawaii you would not be celebrating July 14th. Yes there may be some expat families who get together in local parks and picnic etc, so perhaps looking for an expat forum ( they apparently exist although I have not personally gone on one ) would be a better way of finding something to do for that day. Also perhaps try looking on a forum that has more expats who post on it, for France that would be tripadvisor.com paris forums, I know there are quite a few expats on that one, and if nothing else they can at least give you links to the expat forums.
