We will be in Paris Sept 6-9 and looking for a recommendation for a jazz club to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks,
John, I'll second the question and hopefully add to it. I had the same interest, and found this club in the 5th on Trip Advisor, and it sounds great. I do wonder though about one or two others to check out-we'll be there in a few weeks too. Anybody?

Have been to le caveau de la huchette. Very convenient location on the left bank. Bar is on the ground floor and the music is in the basement. Doors don't open til 9:30. At first everyone is sitting like they are waiting for a concert. There is limited seating. But soon after the music starts, people start dancing and the atmosphere lightens up. Some of the regulars are quite serious about swing dancing. It's fun to watch. Can get quite warm downstairs. When I was there, the musicians were a very talented band from NYC. The club has been going strong for 60 years. We closed the place down, sometime after 2a.m. I recommend it.
Almost forgot: While you are roaming the internet you can listen to the Paris jazz radio station live at http://www.tsfjazz.com/accueil.php
Thomas,
Thank you very much. I found a list of jazz clubs in Paris on Wikipedia, of all places. No reviews, but a good place to start. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_jazz_clubs_in_Paris
